An Italian favorite, this classic Genovese basil is a must for any garden. This improved variety has strong resistance to Downy Mildew and Fusarium. Extremely tender, extra-large, glossy dark green cupped leaves with a strong fragrance and flavor make it excellent for any basil dish especially pesto. Uniform plant has long stems and is bolt resistant providing a long-lasting harvest of the aromatic leaves. The young top leaves taste the best and should be used fresh. Pinch flower buds off to maintain flavor and prolong the harvest.
