Pepper Calabriean Chili

One of the most popular peppers in Southern Italy it originated in Calabria Italy. It may be small, but it packs a punch with a sweet, slightly smoky and fruity flavor and a medium heat level. These 2-inch peppers with medium thick flesh hang from arching vines, and start off green and mature to a bright red. This versatile pepper can be used in salads, stews on a pizza or add to your favorite oil for a few days and you have spicy oil. The bright red peppers add color used as a garnish, a topping or chopped and added to dishes. The flavor will add zest to your culinary creations. These little peppers love the sun, to ensure constant sun exposure occasionally prune the higher leaves.
