This Genovese type basil has it all, true basil flavor and it is resistant to Downy Mildew. It has a compact growth habit that is great for small spaces or growing in containers. The leaves are highly aromatic and have the perfect flavor for pesto or any dish you would use basil in. The young top leaves taste the best and should be used fresh. It’s a good choice for any tomato dish. Pinch any flowering shoot as it forms to prevent bolting or going to seed.
