Anethum graveolens
As the name implies, this is a mammoth variety, in fact it is the largest and tallest dill we can find. It has a strong dill aroma in the garden that transfers to culinary uses. It is perfect for pickling! The entire plant, the leaves, mature or immature flowering heads and even the stems can all be used as pickling spices. This aromatic herb forms tall plumes of finely cut foliage and tall, greenish-yellow flowers in summer. It is not just for pickling, the seeds and leaves can be used with potatoes, eggs, fish, chip and vegetable dips or seafood dishes. Excellent in containers, patio gardens or border gardens.
