Mentha
Aromatic, dark green leaves with a unique minty flavor that has hints of sweet berries. In late summer small, tight clusters of mauve flowers will form above the compact foliage. Leaves can be dried but for best flavor use leaves fresh as a flavoring in desserts, iced drinks, salads and garnishes. Leaves can also be immersed in hot water for a soothing herbal tea. Popular in potpourris and sachets. Plant in herb gardens and containers in rich, moist soil.
