Thymus x citriodorus
The attractive variegated foliage of this Thyme looks as good as it smells. The bright yellow-green leaves are edged a creamy yellowish white. The colors of the leaves intensity as the season progresses when planted in full sun. When crushed it releases a strong lemon scent. As a seasoning it does have a mild lemon flavor that compliments fish, poultry, vegetables and soups. Use fresh, or dry to store well into winter. After flowering, prune to encourage new growth and keep a neat and tidy appearance. Hardy in zones 5-8.
