Compact, upright bush plant bears a heavy crop of striking velvety dark purple French type beans. Add this variety to your vegetable garden for a dramatic color pop against the green foliage. The slender, straight, stringless, 4-5" pods have good texture and taste. Beans transform from the deep purple color to green when cooked. Harvest before the pods bulge and snap easily. Pick every few days to prolong production. Steam, saute or freeze beans for later use. Medium sized, upright, bushy plants are resistant to bean mosaic virus and halo blight.
